It was a perfectly good job...

Unfortunately extended leave of absence does not seem to be the norm. So, scratch one perfectly good job.
Spent the morning bidding a fond farewell to some folks I had worked with for going on 19 years, some for just a few months. Seems time does indeed fly by.

It was a bitter sweet parting but one that needed to be done for awhile now. Found myself turning into a grumpier old man by the day it seemed. While in some respects it was a difficult decision to make in others it was a no brainer. This brain needs a bit of a rest... and other family things need more attention at the moment.
So, let the brain dry out for 6 months or so, then decide a direction that has some part time contracting possibilities during the school year. At least that's the plan.

Time to start the adventure.... Oh wait, not so fast. The house roof needs to be redone, need to get the water main cutoff valve installed, arrange for someone to check on the homestead, take care of the mail situation, get the new insurance in place....  Dang.... But soooooon
