Today we spent a few hours at the local urban park, Shelby Farms Park Conservancy in east Memphis. This was a one of the largest urban parks in the country. We only scratched the surface in the 3 hours or so that we were there. Rose did get to play in the sand, get her feet soaked, slide down multiple slides with only one mishap, run jump and have a good time.
We topped off the day by going down to Beale street and eating dinner at BB Kings Memphis restaurant. Being Sunday it was not too busy but the live music was out in force. The first act was a bit loud but Blind Mississippi Morris came on next and did a marvelous job of entertaining during BB King chili, Memphis ribs and Chicken strips...
At little more walking around the street and then headed on home...
